UNILAG Opens 2026/2027 Post-UTME Registration, Sets July 8 Deadline

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has announced the commencement of registration for its Post-UTME Screening Exercise for admission into all undergraduate programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session.
According to a notice issued by the institution, online registration will run from Monday, June 15 to Wednesday, July 8, 2026.

The university stated that candidates who selected UNILAG as their first-choice institution in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and scored 200 and above are eligible to apply for the online screening exercise.
Eligible applicants must also possess five credit passes in relevant O’Level subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained at one sitting.
UNILAG further noted that only candidates who upload their O’Level results on both the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) and the university’s application portal on or before August 14, 2026, will be considered for admission.
The institution added that candidates who will not attain the age of 16 years by September 30, 2026, are not eligible to apply. It also stressed that participation in the Post-UTME online aptitude test is mandatory for admission consideration.

Candidates are required to use personal and active email addresses during registration, as all official communication regarding the screening exercise will be conducted through email.
The university stated that former students whose admissions were withdrawn due to poor academic performance or absence status may reapply, provided they seek admission into a programme different from the one previously studied. However, candidates who were expelled from the institution are ineligible for fresh admission.
The screening fee has been fixed at N2,000, while the application fee is N3,500.

For registration, candidates are expected to visit the university’s application portal at applications.unilag.edu.ng, select “Start New Application,” choose “Undergraduate” under Application Type, and log in using their UTME application number as username and surname in lowercase as password. Applicants are required to generate and print their payment advice, make payment through a commercial bank or online platform, return to the portal to complete the screening form, and print their Post-UTME Examination Pass.
UNILAG disclosed that mock examinations will be conducted from June 22 to July 26, 2026, while the Post-UTME online aptitude test is scheduled to hold from July 27 to July 31, 2026.
Candidates seeking clarification or wishing to lodge complaints have been directed to contact the university through postutme@unilag.edu.ng or via the telephone numbers 09053006772 and 08141656802.
The institution advised candidates to adhere strictly to all registration guidelines.
Reaffirming its stance on drug abuse, the university stated that it maintains a zero-tolerance policy and reserves the right to withdraw the admission of any admitted student who tests positive for drug use, whether before or after registration.
The notice was signed by Mrs. V. Abosede Wickliffe, Registrar and Secretary to Council.
