Alimosho Tops Lagos LGAs with N10.8bn FAAC Allocation in Q1 2026
The Lagos State Government has received its allocation for Q1 2026 from the federation account for its LGAs, and notably; Alimosho Local Government received the highest allocation among Lagos State’s 20 local government areas receiving N10.8 billion from the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC), official allocation data has revealed.
The data showed that Lagos State received a total of N156.84 billion from FAAC for distribution to its 20 local government areas between January and March 2026. The allocation forms part of the N1.48 trillion shared among local governments nationwide during the first quarter of the year.
Ajeromi-Ifelodun and Kosofe emerged as the second and third highest recipients, receiving N8.45 billion and N8.37 billion, respectively.
Other local government areas that received more than N8 billion during the period include Mushin with N8.30 billion, Oshodi-Isolo with N8.27 billion, Ojo with N8.21 billion, and Ikorodu with N8.12 billion.
The allocation figures further showed that Surulere received N7.97 billion, followed by Agege with N7.86 billion, Ifako-Ijaiye with N7.78 billion, Shomolu with N7.70 billion, Ikeja with N7.49 billion, Eti-Osa with N7.48 billion, and Amuwo-Odofin with N7.47 billion.
Among the remaining local government areas, Lagos Mainland received N7.46 billion, Badagry got N7.33 billion, Apapa received N7.20 billion, while Epe and Lagos Island were allocated N7.19 billion and N7.17 billion, respectively.
Ibeju-Lekki recorded the lowest allocation in the state during the period, receiving N6.95 billion.
The combined allocations to the 20 local government areas amounted to N156.84 billion for the first quarter of 2026.
As Nigeria’s commercial hub and most populous state, Lagos continues to receive substantial federal allocations to support governance and development at the grassroots level. The funds are expected to finance infrastructure projects, public services, and other development initiatives across the state’s local government areas.
